Kayan Association Organizes "Create Your Dream" Event at Assiut University During Disability Awareness Month

As part of the events marking Disability Awareness Month, Kayan Association's Assiut office, in collaboration with Assiut University and the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, organized the event "Create Your Dream" at the International Conference Hall of Assiut University. The event drew over 300 participants, including university students, faculty members, and representatives from civil society associations and organizations across the province.

The primary goal of the event was to educate university students, particularly those pursuing studies in educational fields, about the professional and ethical career paths in the field of disabilities and rehabilitation. Additionally, the event aimed to highlight the available job opportunities within this field in the Assiut community.

Dr. Reham El-Meligy, Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration between the university and civil society organizations, emphasizing the college's commitment to continuing and enhancing this cooperation in the future. Dr. Najwan Abbas, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, delivered a speech underscoring the importance of early intervention and the need for appropriate interaction with people with disabilities and their families.

Representatives from Kayan Association, including Dr. Ayman Eltantawi and Huda Abu El-Yazid, Deputy Executive Director, shared insights about Kayan's mission and journey within the communities of Assiut and Upper Egypt. They extended a warm welcome to all branches of the association, inviting students to engage as volunteers, trainees, colleagues in the profession, and academic researchers.
