Wasoul" project for community rehabilitation serving 5000 people with disabilities in Upper Egypt.

Kayany Association signed a protocol for the "Wasoul" project with the Attah Foundation to support and establish 30 units for early intervention and community rehabilitation in the governorates of Beni Suef, Assiut, and Sohag, serving 148 small villages and reaching 5000 beneficiaries during the years 2022-2023.

The "Wasoul" project is the largest of its kind to provide rehabilitation and educational services in Egypt. It adopts a community-based rehabilitation strategy within the framework of comprehensive and integrated community development.

Key activities of the "Wasoul" project include providing early detection and intervention services for children with disabilities, training community leaders on home visitation skills, conducting capacity-building sessions, implementing inclusive community activities, as well as establishing 30 small projects for people with disabilities and training nursing staff in health units in the targeted villages.
