"Completion of Training for Preparing and Building the Capacities of Psychologists."

Today marked the conclusion of the training program for preparing and building the capacities of psychologists in Sohag Governorate, which lasted for 12 training days. Dr. Ayman El-Tantawy, the Executive Director of the Kayan Association, stated that this training is the third of its kind during the last quarter of the year as part of the "Training for Employment" initiative adopted by Kayan in Sohag Governorate. Training sessions were conducted on the Montessori curriculum and another for preparing special education teachers. More than 75 trainees benefitted from the trainings, and 25 were employed within the Kayan Association and the community-based rehabilitation units sponsored by Kayan.

El-Tantawy added that Sohag Governorate is one of the most promising areas in the field of special education, and the association's training programs have received considerable acceptance from many specialists and parents.

Ahmed Arafa, the Training and Community Rehabilitation Coordinator at Kayan Sohag, stated that the training covered many topics, the most important of which were the Stanford-Binet scale and other significant psychological assessments such as Gilliam, Carrs, MCHAT, and the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) scale, along with modern concepts in disabilities based on the latest scientific theories. The training also included a large number of practical training hours, which the trainees excelled at and found highly satisfactory.
